How to Setup Netgear Orbi AX6000 Mesh Router?

The Netgear Orbi AX6000 Mesh Router is a high performance mesh WiFi system. It is one of the reliable and seamless networks. It is a tri band system which means it has three wireless bands:

Steps to Setup Netgear Orbi AX6000 Mesh Router

First of all, download the Orbi app. This app will guide you to the setup process and help you manage your network locally and remotely.

Connect Orbi Router with Modem

  • Connect the router with the modem using Ethernet cable.
  • After that, plugin the power adapter into your Orbi router and then other end into a wall socket. Now, wait for LED Light to turn into Solid white and then start blinking white.

Placement of Orbi Satellites

  • You should now place all your satellites in the areas where you want to extend the WiFi coverage. You can even place the satellite outside your home as well, only you have to do is Orbi Outdoor Satellite Setup. There should be a decent distance between your router and satellite, neither too far nor too close.
  • After that plugin the power adapter into your Orbi satellites and then other end into a wall socket. Now, wait for LED Light to turn into Solid white and then start blinking white.

Open Orbi App

  • Open the app and login to your Netgear Orbi Account and if you don’t have one then create account. After that, app will detect your router.
  • Once the router is detected, you will be prompted to Netgear Orbi AX6000 Mesh Router setup page. Follow the on-screen instructions to setup the mesh router and connect satellites. If satellites fail to connect, you can sync them manually with the router.

Sync Satellites Manually

  • After the router setup, you have to connect Orbi satellite with the router. So, it can extend the WiFi network.
  • To connect, press the sync button on your router and within 2 minutes press the sync button on satellite. Now your satellite is connected with the router.
  • Repeat this step with other satellites as well, which you want to add.
